The View Presented in "A Room With A View"
This short paper considers the view pof life in E. M. Forster's novel, "A Room With a View". I read the novel with Vicious Circle, a student literary club at Covenant College, and then subsequently wrote the paper for a course. I don't think the paper's that great.
Conversation Across a Century
Some distinctions of Scottish culture, past and present, are seen in this paper, which compares Scott's "The Two Drovers" with Gibbon's "Smeddum".
Infallible Authorities?
This paper looks at the Roman Catholic Church's teaching on infallibility, and then provides a critique from a reformed perspective. I wrote this paper and the next one for Scripture, Tradition, and Magisterium, a course I took at the University of Glasgow in autumn of 2000.
Scripture and Ethics
This paper looks at Jack Sander's claim that Scripture "must not be allowed to stand in the way of what is humane and what is right", shows that his claim flows from his modernist beliefs, and shows that those beliefs ultimately take the meaning away from the concepts of humane and right.
